The theme for this year's camp was No Condemnation in Christ. Some of the messages were evangelistic while others focused on Christian growth. There were 28 campers and 6 staff, and a number of the campers were not from our church. We rejoice that the Lord worked in hearts during the week, and one 18 year old girl said she is now trusting in the Lord as her Savior. A couple of the 18 year olds have started attending our church now, and we look forward to continued work with all who came. The Lord gave us a great week with regards to responsiveness, a good spirit, great weather, and safety. The new boat was a tremendous help and greatly reduced both the cost of camp and the time for transportation, plus it was safer than what we usually have had. Besides the messages and games, there were also skits for Biblical training and discussion as well as skits for fun. A number of the campers learned many of the Bible verses. The two teams were Jimjo (a skate, or type of stingray) and Janinwe (a coconut crab). |
