The theme for this year's camp was Complete in Christ. Some of the messages were evangelistic while others focused on Christian growth. There were 23 campers and 5 staff, and a number of the campers were not from our church. We had services every morning and evening. Many campers memorized verses as they earned points for their teams. The names for the teams would roughly be translated as Work Clothing and Second Hand Clothes. That may seem odd to Americans, but they thought it was funny. With our family being on furlough this summer, our co-workers, Eric and Barb Fisher, along with church ladies, did all the planning. Everything went smoothly, and we thank the Lord for safety, good weather, and a good spirit. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will use His Word in the lives of the campers. The new boat again helped save time and money, plus it was much safer than what we had used before. |
