This year for the first time we had a separate camp
for the younger ones (ages 10 through 13). It really helped having them
in their own group as it was easier to plan the messages and games to
target that group.

The theme for this year's camp was God's provision for
salvation. The messages were about God's Word, the nature of God, man's
need, and God's provision of salvation. Our goal was to correct some of
the wrong thinking about God and salvation and to show that God, by His
grace, has provided for our complete salvation. The young people
listened well and learned a number of key verses about salvation.

Another goal was to train our older young people as staff. The
Lord provided 6 youth from our church, and they did well in counseling,
running the games, helping cook, and working in other areas. We thank
the Lord for a safe and enjoyable week. Thanks again to those who helped
provide the boat that made our trips to the camp island (4 miles across
the lagoon) safe and predictable.
