I live on the 3 square mile atoll of Majuro. It is located pretty much right between Hawaii and Guam. We are 7 degrees north of the equator. I enjoy working on the computer, except for web coding, which is why I keep my brother John around. He likes this stuff. I don't. Anyway, I do like animation and enjoy working/playing with Adobe Flash (a 2D animation program). The coding language for Flash is called ActionScript. This language is not as bad as XHTML, so I like it. The first half of this page contains some of the better animations I have made in Flash. When not doing Flash, I like to do some 3D modeling. I find Cheetah 3D to be the easiest 3D modeler to use. All the pictures under the heading "3D Modeled Images" were created in Cheetah 3D. I enjoy reading, and especially like historical fiction ( books by G. A. Henty), old classics (Iliad, Oddesy, Ivanhoe, Old Mortality), and science fiction/fantasy. If I'm out of books, I like to play the piano and the recorder (not at the same time). I also like basketball, but I'm not very good at it. When the lagoon is calm, spearfishing is also fun.
These are some of the better animations I have created in Flash. Some of them do not have a purpose other than that I like them.
| Clock 1.0 | Clock 1.1 | Christmas tree |
| Prosopon 1.0: Press b, e, E, w, l, r, c, or a to make him do something. | Prosopon 1.1: Ever seen a blue-eyed Marshallese? Press b, B, e, E, w, l, r, c, a, or m to make him do something. Arrow keys and command/control or space do something. | Morph: Press a, b, B, s, or e to make it do something. |
| Needless to say, the coding for this one is rather complex. |
| I drew and animated this in Cheetah 3D, and then popped it into Flash CS3. |
| Follow the directioins. | A simple timer. |
| Playground 1.3: This animation has always had a lot of bugs, so please email me if you find any. Anyway, use the arrow keys to control the turtle, and space or command/control will spin him. If you cannot see the turtle, press return and he should appear. R, g, or b will change him to a wire frame of a color (r= red, g= green, b= blue), and you can make the turtle small when in wire mode (n makes him full again). |
| Joy Turtle: Another one of my sea turtle's evolutions. He is controlled by the joystick (top left), and the buttons on the left do something to him; the corresponding one on the right undoes it. |
| Just something I drew in Flash. |
| Maze 1.0: Use the arrow keys to move your box to the finish. You start in the bottom right and the finish is in the bottom left. The goal is to beat the black box. |
| Use the left and right arrows to select your vehicle, then press space when you have selected your ship. Press space or command/control to fire, and use the arrow keys to navigate. If you want to change your ship, press c to go back to the main menu. |
